A couple of things.

  1. I have wondered if Christian-based writing had any place on Medium, so it is a true blessing to see that it does through your work.
  2. I would go so far as to say that if God granted every prayer request of His people, then there would be no accountability to what we pray for. It would likely become a purely selfish transaction with no regard for God’s will in the circumstances we are concerned with. We can’t see the larger picture of how 7 billion people fit into His divine plan, so who knows what saving one person from cancer or some other calamity may do to affect His will for many others?

In short, if our prayers were always granted, then the power would rest with our words rather than the power of God that we seek through them.
